In Lumpkin County Georgia Louisa Painter filed for twelve months support from the estate of Barney Painter. Appraisers have returned their report and the Court of Ordinary requires all interested persons to show cause on the first Monday in April 1913 why the application should not be granted. The new city sdioul board, elected for three years at the council meeting Monday night, took office Tuesday afternoon. J. M. Brooksher was named chairman with T. P. Jackson as secretary and treasurer. Prof. Ash and Vickery were appointed as building committee. Hardie Ba Hise and his wife, and Homer Wright, released from Athilla jail this week by order of Jade Newman, hoped to come to Lampkin county as witnesses in the Moultirie Hughes case. Hardie was later arrested in Athintaon on a warrant for assault with intent to murder in Fannin county.
