Georgia fruit growers through the Georgia Fruit Exchange sue the Interstate Commerce Commission to cut the minimum carload weight from 22 500 to 19 000 pounds. They claim 535 crates per car exceed capacity and 448 are salable, costing about 427 per car over two seasons. If approved, over 500 000 dollars would return to growers. Further suits planned if the decision favors them.
