Quitman County Democratic Nomination Convened for Legislature
Delegates from Quitman County districts met at the Court House on Monday the 14th to nominate a candidate for the Legislature. Col Harrison won the nomination with 21 votes to 5 for Burnett, and was invited to accept. An executive committee was formed to promote the party, and the proceedings were ordered published in the Cuthbert Appeal.
