A notice calls a convention of Randolph County Democrats and Conservative voters at the Court House in the city tomorrow at 11 o clock to elect delegates to the State Convention in Atlanta on the 6th to nominate no Governor candidate. All sections urged to be represented and a citywide gathering proposed for December 10 to nominate a mayor and council for 1272.
A speaker declares the CASH SYSTEM exclusive from December first through Spring to clear six years of debt and urges friends who received goods on time to pay now. Clothing and other articles will be sold at COST to raise funds for repayment.
The Cuthbert Male Institute board met November 25 with President W D Kiddoo and trustees Clarke Powell Jenkins Owen and Baldswin. They authorized collecting the first installment of the subscription list and asked the Cuthbert Appeal to publish notice. The Building Committee will draft a wooden building plan not to exceed 36000 dollars. A three member committee Jenkins Owen Baldwin was formed to find a suitable house to open the school January 1. Meeting adjourned to call of the chair.

They describe seizing books Aug 28 1871 and summarizing fiscal year end Sept 30 1870, noting missing vouchers and extensive disbursements under Blodgett. They compare receipts and expenses with prior administrators Campbell Wallace Hulbert and Foster Blodgett.

A Boston dispatch adds a brutal murder case in Lynn where a barber allegedly killed his wife by setting her on fire after beating her.
