Boone and Dixson Ice and Supplies Ad in 1877 Georgia
An old-time notice from Harcues Statroy Georgia promotes Boone and Dixson as a steady ice and beverage supplier in Cuthbert with reduced ice rates. The page then shifts to a farmer letter from Quitman County reporting poor crops, delayed cotton growth, and pest concerns, noting a gloomy outlook for corn and cotton with high debt. It also covers local meetings forming an agricultural club, and ends with a crime note where a theft case in Emanuel County resulted in acquittal, prompting calls to reconsider crop costs.
