The Cumberland lawn bowling green ended its first season after a successful year. The doubles final saw Harry Jackson and Bill Younger defeat Vernon Jones and T Carney 21-14. A special trophy match followed, Vernon Jones and W Younger losing 11-10 to H Waterfield and W McMillan in a tight fifteen ends.

New Battalion to Wear Hunting Stuart Tartan
Announcement in Ottawa this week says Major D. R. Sargent is promoted to Lt Colonel and commands the 2nd Battalion of the Canadian Scottish with HQ at Nanaimo.
