Cumberland City Band to Play Before Duke of Devonshire
The Cumberland City Band will travel to Qualicum Hospital on Sunday afternoon October 6 and give a concert during the visit of the Governor-General the Duke of Devonshire. They march in full uniform with new instruments donated by Canadian Collieries. Autos will depart under the District Superintendent of the Canadian Collieries in charge of arrangements and transportation. The Tax Sale held Monday saw all property sold by the City except four lots. George Clinton bought two lots on Dunsmuir Ave. John Thomson and Andrew Gibson bought the remaining two.
