Messrs Frank and J Bond returned from Vancouver this week after success at the North Pacific Rollers Club contest held last weekend. They entered six canaries and won two firsts and the cup two seconds two specials one fourth and two fifth prizes. The Bonds have long studied the Roller variety and invite visitors to view their birds in New Townsite ovaries.

Welsh Society Hosts Successful Whist Drive at Memorial Hall
The Cumberland Welsh Society held a whist drive with twenty three tables. Mrs S Robertson and Mrs E Johnston tied for ladies first while Mrs Robertson secured ladies first and Mrs Johnston, ladies second on a cut. Gentlemen prizes went to Mrs W Marshall and Mrs S Davis. Travelling prizes were won by Mrs B Johnston and Mr B Brown. Refreshments followed and dancing with Hudson's Orchestra lasted until midnight.
