River Authority advances five water projects in Seguin meeting
The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority gained approval for a 1740,000 loan from Farmers Home Administration to build the Calhoun County Rural Water Supply System serving 478 customers from the GBRA plant near Port Lavaca. The board also approved feasibility studies for a Luling water diversion lake and a Lake McQueeney sewer project with local groups. River Bend Subdivision flood control maintenance approved
The River Bend Subdivision on Lake Dunlap south of New Braunfels will receive flood prevention maintenance support from the soil conservation authority. An agreement with York Creek Improvement District enables the authority to assist with maintenance at cost using its personnel and equipment on request from the district board. Canyon Reservoir storage rose slightly last month due to light rainfall, with current reservoir level at 908.98 feet above mean sea level, 406 feet below conservation.
