Daring bandits terrorize Cashopolis in bank raid
Armed bandits estimated at five to ten storm Cashopolis Michigan just after 2 a.m. They bound a night watchman and two restaurant proprietors, cut telegraph lines, and fired 100 to 150 shots over three hours. They dynamited the First National vault door, failing to breach the inner door, then fled after guards and a nearby gunfight. Only casualty was George Jones who was shot in the neck. The town was placed under guard as roads out were blocked.

Hawkeye Football Team On Way Home From Coast Trip
