Pueblo Colorado reports Grace Murray died from throat wounds inflicted by her husband James T Murray who then shot and wounded admirer W P Holland after confessing he was driven to desperation by their relationship saga. Murray led police to Holland room and fired wounding him in the neck before his arrest.
W F Thiehoff of Chicago genial manager of the Burlington railroad will speak Monday night at a joint dinner meeting of the Rotary Kiwanis clubs and the Chamber of Commerce at Towana hotel. The subject is a railroad problem and A W Card of Burlington will also attend though his speaking role is undecided. Winterset Rotarians will be guests of the Creston club during the event.
About 100 Creston residents will travel to Lincoln for the Nebraska Notre Dame gridiron classic on Thanksgiving Day. The stadium will add 8,000 temporary seats, with sparcade and bleacher tickets available. Burlington Railroad offers one way fares for fans on west bound No. 5 or No. 1 trains and a special east bound train leaving Lincoln 80 minutes after the game.
Des Moines reports state Senator M L Bowman from Blackhawk county announced his candidacy for the Republican U S Senate nomination at the next primary. He said the agricultural town and common people deserve a square deal and criticized established interests, noting he had left the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation where he worked as an organizer.

Sioux City reports the coroner's inquest found Myrtle Lillie, 22, widow Alma Lillie of Hawarden, was shot by Harold Craig, 35, her divorced husband, who then killed himself with a .45 caliber revolver. Craig's body was sent to Scotsburg, Indiana, to his father.

Newton Indiana November 21 The Burton State Bank of Kellogg owners R C Burton and B A Burton and cashier G R Martin have been indicted by a Jasper county grand jury after the bank was closed in February.
In White Plains on November 21 Isaac N Mills counsel for Leonard Kip Rhinelander denied any settlement talks in the Rhinelander annulment suit. He said the case would continue under court control and a statement would be made in court Monday. Letters from Leonard to his bride Alice were revealed privately by Lee Parsons Davis, spurring rumors of settlement offers between 50 000 and 300 000 dollars. Philip Rhinelander Leonard's father is away.
Word arrives from Creston of the death of J W Stubblefield at his son Robert Stubblefield s home in Council Bluffs on Thursday afternoon. He lived here 25 years and worked for the Burlington railroad many years. Survived by wife, son Robert in Council Bluffs, daughter Mrs C N Walker of Des Moines, granddaughter Mrs Art Penkert, and niece Mrs Laster Hardman of Creston. Funeral services were held at Yelock in Council Bluffs and burial occurred there.
In Berlin on November 21 General Erich Ludendorff, writing for a Munich fascist paper, accuses President Hindenburg of betraying Locarno treaty principles. He laments Hindenburg's willingness to sign a document he calls a “document of shame and dishonor” and urges resignation to preserve past glory.

Three women named Mrs Saran Olden, Mrs Lee Hardy and Mrs Harris allegedly operated in several cities stealing fur coats worth about 4000 dollars. A warrant was issued for their arrest in Quincy and an officer is en route. An unidentified man, possibly an accomplice, is still sought in St Joseph.
Thomas Hawkins, Maxine Kil fore, Laura Mayes and Margaret WcCornack earned eligibility in the oratorical class after tryouts held Friday afternoon during school hours. The home contest is set for December 15 with four speakers per class. Three year old Junior Dalton son of Mr and Mrs Albert Dalton of Dodge township farmers sustained a painful head cut and a fracture when run over by a car noon Friday in front of the home. The driver stopped but name not known.

Creston jurors awarded J H Patt a $1 564.93 judgment against W F Pinefield after a lengthy session in a Creston business lease dispute. Pinefield claimed $10 000 damages for alleged failures to maintain the premises. Judge Homer A Fuller of Mt Ayr presided. he planned to leave for Oscowla to open Clarke county’s November term and return to preside over a separate case against W E Pierman on bank fraud charges.
