Washington reports Captain Paul Foley cleared by Shenandoah naval court of inquiry over alleged efforts to sway testimony in the Lansdowne case. Court ruled Foley not guilty of seeking to influence witnesses or induce false testimony and discharged him from attendance. The protest of Mrs. Lansdowne counsel followed the verdict as the decision was read.

Iowa experiments involving about 500 pigs in 50 groups show hogging down field corn yields over 700 pounds of pork per acre when supplemented with tankage and mineral self feed stations. Last Rites For Mrs. Alma Adkins in Creston Home Service

Funeral services for Mrs Alma Adkins will be at 11 Saturday at the home 611 North Walnut. Rev. Homer Baumgardner will officiate with burial in Graceland cemetery. She was born April 10 1880 in Indianapolis and died November 19 1925 after months of illness. She married Ernest C Main August 3 1910 who died 14 years ago. She then wed Charles A Adkins September 24 1919 in Kansas City Missouri. The couple lived in St Joseph and Creston before settling here. She was a Methodist and leaves a husband, many relatives and friends.

Catholics select Jack Coleman Jim Moran Marty Coen Tim Herring and Rev M Tenhessen to represent the city in the Creston tournament in a Knights of Columbus hall practice. Guard Sees Man Leap To Death In River

Davenport report states an unidentified man about 21 dressed well leaped from the government bridge over the Mississippi River. A guard tried to reach him as the man stood on the rail and then jumped. The body has not been recovered and identity clues are lacking.
