Bailey Named Adjutant General Succeeding Lasher
Des Moines June 23 Colonel W H Bailey deputy secretary of state was appointed by Governor Hammill as adjutant general to succeed Louis G Lasher. The four year term begins July 4. Bailey from O'Brien county commanded the 109th ammunition train of the 84th division in the world war and served on the Mexican border in 1916 17 as a lieutenant colonel. He has been deputy secretary of state since June 5 1925.
