School Director Ringstrom noted higher enrollment than before at the extension school and thanked the city for support.

Visitors Welcome Convocation Marks Creston Summer Session
Summer school students were warmly welcomed to Creston at a convocation in the high school auditorium. Mayor George D. Newcomb and Chamber of Commerce president B. Fiers told the 280 attendees that Creston will do everything possible to ensure a successful 12 weeks. Slayer Admits Murder Of Six In Lynch Fear
Tampa police report B F Levins confessed to killing six people last summer including Mr and Mrs Herman Merrell and three Merrell children. He said Edward Roswell was murdered with an axe after an argument over a woman, and that Jim Thompson pressured him into further killings to prevent testimony. Thompson was jailed for safekeeping after Levins’ confession. Three Roswell victims, Beo Roswell and two relatives, were killed in a separate attack. five Merrells died at the home with three children escaping.

Boy Hurt In Plane Crash Near Afton
Reece Pritchard a year old son of an aviator sustained bruises and cuts when a Shiffiet Aerial Circus plane crashed near Attreste May afternoon. The aircraft, used on a test flight, wrecked and returned to Chariton by truck. Pritchard was about 200 feet up when controls jammed at low altitude causing a tail spin and forced landing.

A tent revival will open at the White City grounds with evangelist Miss Min Me Steele leading the meetings.
