A C Draper Died Friday In Colorado
James Draper received word of the death of his brother A C Draper of La Junta last Friday. Short funeral services for Mrs Margaret Popjoy who died last Friday at her daughter's home in University City Missouri were held at Graceland cemetery this afternoon with Rev Homer Baumgardner of the Methodist church officiating. 10 Ton Tractor Bought For Primary Road Work
A 10-ton Holt caterpillar tractor was purchased by the board of supervisors at the meeting held Saturday afternoon. The machine cost about $6,000 and will be shipped from Peoria, Illinois, to Creston this week. County engineer Guy Perry says it will be used for primary road maintenance on rough or snow-covered roads and will replace the wheel tractor used last year. The wheel tractor will be used for county road maintenance in 1925.
