Petitions Seek Graveling of No 8 Highway in Union County

Union County eyes graveling 18 miles of No 8 as part of the Iowa Good Roads program. No funds exist this year, but about 60 000 dollars from automobile licenses and 12 000 dollars from gasoline tax may be available in 1926 if the highway commission approves. Campagners urge signatures to back petitions, with support from Fred L. Luce and Glen C. Haynes, who argue graveling can be economical until paving is feasible.
