Charles Roe a former Afton resident now in Canada will be arraigned in Justice of the Peace John Carson's court at 1 30 Thursday afternoon on a 1913 charge of criminal assault on a girl. Roe was brought from Denver by Sheriff Fred Collings after a Colorado extradition hearing. Bond was set at 4000 and remained to be furnished. Governor Morley of Colorado honored the Iowa extradition after a Monday hearing. Roe's attorney called it a blackmail scheme.

Traveling Star Bible draws crowds on world tour
HagenDeck Wallace circus publicist Doc Waddell says the Eastern Star Bible is drawing more attention than the Masonic travel book. The Bible will stay around Washington, D. C. until President Coolidge returns, then visit Ohio and Kentucky grand chapters. A sermon for 700 employees will accompany the Bible aboard the circus. About 100 Eastern Stars are in the circus, with Creston’s Star chapter to receive the book later. The tour began with R T King chapter 340, O E S of Columbus, Ohio.
