Six Die as Illinois Central Trains Wreck Near Mounds
Two Illinois Central passenger trains derailed one mile north of Mounds Illinois, killing six and injuring around 200. The Chickasaw northbound from Memphis to St Louis and the southbound Chicago to New Orleans limited collided after a sewer pipe dropped from a preceding freight train.
