Radio hook up planned for Hoover acceptance address
The largest radio hookup in history will broadcast Herbert Hoover's acceptance speech from Palo Alto California next Saturday. 84 stations plus several short wave links will relay the event to territories and foreign lands starting 4 p.m. Pacific time. The program includes an opening by Governor C C Young and Senator Moses. Hoover will outline campaign issues in a 45 minute address. Also: George N Peck asserts Governor Smith's view aligns with his on the McNary Haugen equalization fee. Smith plans to state his positions and meet Democratic leaders in Albany.
