Under a blazing sun at Drake Stadium Des Moines 15000 fans witnessed a fast finals day as 2500 athletes from 191 colleges and high schools competed. Sioux Falls won the two mile relay class A with Marshalltown Carroll and Galesburg following. Guthrie State captured the 120 yard high hurdles with Kinsey leading Grinnell and Marigold. Drake record tied in hurdles as Simpson of Missouri set a 1917 mark.
