Local religious notices list Sunday services at First and Second Presbyterian churches with sermons by Rev J B Curry and Rev Frederick Schweitzer, including communion on October 24 and preparatory service on October 22. Schultz Memorial M E and Second Church C E Society share upcoming meetings and topics. The Woman's Club hosts a program on preparing for election.
The C. E Society of the Second Church will present a play titled The Elopement of Ellen on Wednesday, November 17.
The School Board appoints Mrs F A Brown to replace Miss Bertha Applegate who resigned for regular work. Miss Ian Puerschner will take charge of the music department.
The Stitch and Chatter Club meets next Thursday afternoon October 21 at Miss Ethel Snedeker's home. Members should notify Mrs. Henry Conover to arrange transportation by car. Also noted is Cranbury Sunday School Anniversary Service at Second Presbyterian Church on October 17 at 2:30 PM with speaker J Duncan Sparth PhD Princeton English and soloist Mrs. Southard Mather of Princeton.
Mr and Mrs Disbrow Bergen hosted a grand Christmas dinner for about thirty Bergen family members on a pleasant traveling day. Miss Bertha Applegate leaves Cranbury School for Lincoln School New Brunswick to teach music. Miss Frances B Cropsey opens a Dancing Club October 18 at Old Fellows Hall for couples. Younger Set and Children's Class meet later in the week as she settles in town.
Members are requested to meet at the home of J. B. Perrine on Saturday evening October 16 at 8 PM for a business meeting. Walter H Havens serves as president.
A large crowd attended Thursday’s Birthday Party hosted by the Women's Missionary Societies of the Second Church. Tables matched birth months, supper pleased guests, and musical entertainment featured piano solos and readings. Reverend Frederick Schweizer closed with a brief speech. about one hundred dollars was raised.
