The sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated Sunday October 24 at 11 A.M. A preparatory service is held Friday October 22 at 8 P.M. after which the session will meet to receive new members. The congregation's birthday party is set for Thursday October 14 at 6 P.M. in the chapel. Schultz Memorial M E pastor Rev L E Lennox Second Church Co E Society M E Society meets Sunday at 6:30 P.M. in the chapel with Miss Irene Walker leading Bible verses.
The Second Church congregation will worship in the rebuilt sanctuary next Sunday, first service since repairs began last summer. The interior has been redecorated and presents a beautiful aspect.
The Junior Christian Endeavor of the Second Church holds its second meeting Sunday at 8 in the chapel. Leader Donald Owens will discuss The harm that comes from coveting. Last week saw a good attendance and an engaging session. this week aims for more participants.
The Sunday schools of Cranbury plan their annual gathering at Second Church on October 17 at 2 30 PM. Speaker will be J Duncan Spaeth Ph D Professor of English Literature at Princeton University. All are cordially invited to attend.
The troop will meet on the first Monday evening of each month with every member expected to be present.
The annual rally day in the Sunday school will be observed this Sunday morning at 10 oclock. Every member should be present and try to bring a new scholar.
Goodwin's Band to play at the dedication of the Hamilton Square soldiers monument on October 16 at 2 PM with prominent speakers. The event is expected to be a big time. Also announced is the October WCTU meeting at Mrs. A H Symmes's home on Thursday afternoon October 14 at 8 PM with speaker Mrs. Robert A Irving on Women in Civics and a reception for new members.
Despite rain the 1920 Trenton Fair proved highly successful with attendance for the week around 125000, marking one of the exposition’s strongest years.
Brainerd Chapter U D Order of the Eastern Star will meet at Odd Fellows Hall Wednesday evening October 18 at 7 30. Regular meetings are set for the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.
The Dayton Sunday School Anniversary will be held at the Presbyterian Church next Sunday afternoon October 10 at 3 o clock. The program includes good music and special numbers by Mrs Mabel Musk, a noted soloist. Rev Peter K Immons, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church Trenton, will give the address.
On October 6 the Cranbury Woman's Club held its season opener led by chairwoman Bila Stults and committee. About thirty ladies and several men traveled in seven cars along the river and canal to Camp Camarade near Point Pleasant, Pa. YWCA Camp Trenton president Mrs. Edward W. Dunham spoke at lunch about camp benefits, and the group returned in the afternoon, praising the outing.
The First Presbyterian Church welcomed a new baptismal font of Endothic marble presented by Mrs. Raymond Ott in memory of the late Miss Maude A. Rue and Mrs. Murray. Rev. J E Qurry accepted the gift as the church celebrated baptisms for Emma Chamberlin Forman and Aaron Ely Reid. Mrs Ott sang two selections before the Lord's Supper was observed.
The Ladies Guild of the First Presbyterian Church will serve dinner to the Election Board in the chapel on Election Day. A supper will follow and all are invited, so remember this meal when planning Election Day.
Letter to Middlesex County voters expresses gratitude for primary election support that secured the sheriff nomination. It appeals to women voters and asks continued support at the general election for Emr E. WyoKorr and Mr. Charles Forman’s friends.

Mr and Mrs C H Lewis announce the marriage of their daughter Hattie Ten Broeck to John N Stonaker on Saturday October 2 1920 at the Second Presbyterian manse Rev Frederick Schwartzier officiated. The bride wore blue taffeta with matching hat and grey furs. They left for a tour to Niagara and will reside in Cranbury. Mrs Stonaker is active in the Second Presbyterian choir and social events. Mr Stonaker works in transportation.
Eight year old Charles Lt Patterson died after being struck by a milk train while crossing railroad tracks on the way to Hightstown school. Coroner Wagner viewed the body and stated the boy appeared unaware of the approaching train. The fatal incident occurred near the railroad station in front of about twenty witnesses.
The October 12 Pioneer Grange meeting will be led by Pomona Mrs. Wm. Carleton Campbell. A short literary program on fruit's value will precede an exhibit of simple fruit desserts judged for ease of preparation appearance and food value. Fruit salads may be submitted. a simple prize goes to the leading exhibit from a contributing woman.
A. C. Beekman purchases Miss Stout a green pacer from North Carolina and Foote Prince Junior a 3 year old pacer driven by Pitman. George Watts wins a Lewiston race in 2 13 beating Bed Worth Chief who has only one loss this season.
Mr and Mrs William Rogers of Applegarth hosted guests over the weekend including Mr and Mrs B Frank Mount and families from Wilmington Del Mrs Joshua Thomas of Center Street hosted Miss Rosanna Dreyling of Jamesburg Others visited or spent weekends in New Brunswick Trenton Manasquan and Cranbury plus a birth announced A son to Monta Norcross and his wife born on Sunday October 8 1920
Jasper Rogers, 75, died at his home near Princeton Junction early Friday, October 1. A lifelong farmer, he had suffered paralysis for nine years. Funeral was held Sunday at his home with Rev. Whiteside of Kingston officiating. burial at Dutch Neck under Cole, Son & Co. supervision.
Cyrus P. Reed of Jamesburg aged 82 was killed instantly by a train in Trenton while on railroad duty. Coroner Reading handled the body, it was taken to Donahue morgue and then to the Jamesburg Methodist Church for a full military funeral Monday at 2 pm. Rev Shaw officiated as American Legion led the grave ceremony with a caisson procession, band, rifle volleys, and taps. Burial followed at Fernwood cemetery, Jamesburg, under Cole Son & Co. supervision.
On Monday October 11 at 2 PM the Middlesex County fruit men gather at Raymond Griggs orchard near Cranbury to review spray demonstrations by the Farm Demonstration Office and New Jersey State College of Agriculture. A. F. Mason and O. G. Bowen will explain. fruit from sprayed and unsprayed trees will be picked and graded to show control. The event invites all interested growers in and beyond Middlesex.
