Temptation in the Wilderness sermon and rally news

Rev Joseph E Curry leads Sunday service October 15 with a sermon on The Temptation in the Wilderness and distribution of 800 gospel of Mark pockets. Union Sunday school anniversary set for October 15 at Second Presbyterian with music and address by Rev William T Elsing of New York. Rally Day plans target full attendance October 22. Bicycle accident injures David C. Lewis Jr in Hightstown

David C. Lewis Jr. was thrown from his bicycle while riding with friends to Hightstown. A rut knocked his lamp into the wheel causing a crash. he suffered facial cuts and dental injuries, received initial care from Drs Titus and Franklin, and was later cared for at home by Mrs. Harry Appleget and his mother Mrs. S. T. Lewis.

Public Service plans expansion to Princeton area power supply

The Public Service corporation moves to supply Princeton Monmouth Junction Cranbury and nearby towns from its Shancerys renton plant. The Rocky Hill plant will be abandoned as the Trenton line adds 2000 horsepower and improves all night light. A distributing point will reuse the Princeton Witherspoon street plant and new three-wire lines rise on private ground by trolley tracks.

Sunday Train Stop Demand Upheld at Asbury Park Depot

The State Utility Commission ordered all passenger trains to stop at the main Asbury Park depot on Sundays after a September 12 hearing. The directive targets New York & Long Branch, Central Railroad Company of New Jersey, and Pennsylvania Railroad, with the ruling taking effect November 1.
