Sunday Church Services and Classes Schedule

Christian Endeavor at 680 o clock led by Miss Mary R Symmes discusses Christian Progress Among the Immigrants. Community Service at 7 30 o clock features Pastor led preaching on Spiritual Reactions from Luke 19 2 8.

Woman's Home Missionary Society meets December 2

The Woman's Home Missionary Society will meet with Mrs. D C Mershon on Friday afternoon December 2 at three o'clock. The second chapter of The Kingdom and the Nations will be used. The program is in charge of Mrs Curry Mrs Butcher and Miss Edsall.

Second Church Notes Previewing Christmas Plans and Meetings

The Sunday School convenes at 945 with the Men s Bible Class in the chapel and the main school meeting in the church. The Primary Class meets at 10 in their room. The roll will be marked and at 955 classes begin the study Paul s Voyage and Shipwreck. A Thanksgiving program follows, led by Rev Frederick Schweitzer.

Schultz Memorial M. E. Sunday School Rally Day

Schultz Memorial M E Church sets Sunday at 10 AM for service led by Rev. L E B Lennox with a brief children’s program and an address. Members are urged to enroll in Sunday School and help the work. Prayer meeting Thursday at 7 45. November 29 brings the C E Society play Safety First at Second Presbyterian chapel.

Woman's Club Holds Engaging Meeting on Intelligence Test

The club met on Wednesday to discuss an intelligence test presented as novel and entertaining. Members participated eagerly and enjoyed a lively session that led to a successful gathering.

Light Bearers Mission Band to entertain at church chapel

The Light Bearers mission band of the First Presbyterian church will present an entertainment in the chapel on Wednesday evening, November 30 at 7:30. A collection will support missions. Ice cream, cake, and homemade candies will be sold after the program. Join the social evening with the Mission Band.

County Woman Tops State Civil Service Exam

Mrs Bessie B Dey of this place earned the highest mark in the state civil service exam for Field Worker at the Tren ton state hospital with a general average of 86. Mrs Elizabeth Smith of Mercerville was second with 76. Both have worked as Field Workers for the hospital in recent months.

The First Presbyterian Sunday school appoints its Christmas committee with chairs Samuel Bennett and Mrs Samuel Bennett. Other members include Miss Margaret Perrine Mrs G A Bennett Mrs Franklin Bennett Mrs Russell Johnson Mrs William Denison Mrs Leroy Scott Miss Margaret Bergen and Miss Mary Hutchinson.

Monmouth County Poultry Club Exhibit Highlights Cranbury Wins

At the Red Bank exhibit on November 16 17 and 18 Cranbury made a fine showing. Irving Bennett of Cranbury won four first prizes and one second including Rose Comb brown Leghorn entries and a Single Comb brown. H Lewis Schanck of Cranbury captured five firsts five seconds and one third on dark Brahmas with multiple special prizes for best display and Brahma pullet and cockerel.

A Church Play Cast and Community Notice in November

Members of the Second Presbyterian Church C E Society present a November 29 chapel play with cast including Jack Montgomery and Olive Petty. The First Church Sunday School held a party November 22 in the chapel with Mr Mershon and his class. plans include Pioneer Grange No 1 officers for January installation.

Degree Demonstration Energizes Odd Fellows Meeting

The Middlesex Lodge 90 Odd Fellows hosted a packed Degree Demonstration on Monday led by Noble Grand Fred Carlson. District 15 plans a December 6 event at General Morgan lodge Amboy with fifty members to be obligated and a class initiation at Whitney lodge November 28.
