House of Rimmon Next Monday Night Play at First Presbyterian

The House of Rimmon a four act drama postponed by illness will be staged next Monday night in the First Presbyterian chapel. Tickets 25 cents and 35 cents. proceeds aid the Public Library. The program features solos by Miss Bardell and Mr Silvers, a synopsis of the drama, and a full cast list including Naaman Elisha Gehazi and Nebuchadnezzar era roles with court officials and attendants.

Elijah Ascends to Heaven in a Chariot of Fire Sermon

Rev. C. W. Heisley of the Methodist Church preaches next Sunday at 7.80 p.m. The pulpit will answer questions on the sermon last Sunday about Elijah ascent conditions and purpose, with Mr. Russell Silvers likely to sing, and an opportunity for congregants to ask questions.

Asbury Park Memorial Day Festivities Highlight Parade and Concerts

Memorial Day activities at Asbury Park include a morning parade with 86 fire apparatus and secret societies, afternoon track events, and a night fireworks show. Creatore's fifty piece band opens a five week engagement, followed by Pryor's band for twelve weeks. Extra trains and excur sions from Newark Jersey City and Brooklyn accommodate about thirty thousand visitors. The city builds a $100 000 swimming pool and offers three free casino concerts daily. Miss Elva Chamberlin hosts a Wednesday reading circle May 31 with a calendar party planned by a named committee.

Mr and Mrs E F Horton of Jersey City visited Mrs Hortons sister Mrs Olive Bolles. Mrs Wm Leishman is recovering and mobile at home. Missionary Society meets May 31 at the church to discuss Mormonism. A surprise party honored Mr and Mrs Leroy Grover with a fine extension table from friends. Billings Cotton Dr Reynolds and H W Jeffers toured Southern New Jersey evaluating alfalfa fields.

Heidemann 18 Electrocuted in New Jersey

Frank E. Heidemann, a young Asbury Park florist, was electrocuted at the state prison in Trenton for killing ten year old Marie Smith after an attempted assault. Heidemann showed anticipation of death, praying in German as the current began. The brutal crime involved an ax murder and concealment in bushes.
