Fire Chief Victor Puerschner Dies After Fire Injury
John Victor Puerschner of New Brunswick died at his Livingston Avenue home after contracting blood poisoning from injuries at the Fur Fire on February 17. He served six years as Volunteer Fire Department chief and later captained No 4. he was a member of the Board of Aldermen. Survived by his wife, two daughters, a son, and three brothers. Funeral Monday.
