Storm devastates Middlesex crops and homes in fierce storm
A severe storm struck western Middlesex last Monday night bringing heavy rain hail and destructive winds. Acres of wheat rye potatoes and corn were ruined from Jamesburg to Freehold with about thirty acres of wheat leveled on the Clover farm. In Englishtown homes suffered roof and window damage along with an electric light plant outage and thousands in losses from broken glass and fallen trees.

Exercises canceled due to diphtheria at public school
A case of diphtheria in the public school prompted cancellation of next Thursday’s commencement exercises. Alberta Dey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Dey, is ill, two suspected cases are under quarantine, and Dr B S Van Dyke will examine others this afternoon. Likely no sessions next week, though not yet definite.

Mrs Margaret Wilson Dies in New York Funeral Held
Mrs Margaret Wilson died in New York on Friday June 7 and funeral services were held there. The interment took place at Cedar Hill cemetery on Monday under Allen and Stults directing. She is survived by five daughters. Mrs Wilson formerly resided in Hightstown.

Death of Henry S Davison at 65 in Hightstown
Henry S Davison aged 65 died Friday June 7 at his home on Monmouth street Hightstown. Funeral services were held Monday at his residence conducted by Rev Thomas Tyack. Interment followed at Manalapan under the direction of Allen and Stults. He is survived by his widow two sons and two daughters.
