Dinner and shared victory mark 1922 Cranbury Inn event
On June 3 1922 Cranbury Inn hosted a dinner after a contest between two officers and directors groups to secure new Second Series shares. Harvey S Dey led the winning team as guests celebrated at the expense of C Raymond Wicoff and others boosting membership to 250 subscribers and 1200 shares. The event featured orchestral music and a menu including Filet Mignon and Strawberry Short Cake. Postmaster George W De Voe, a Spotswood borough leader for thirty years, officiated a wedding in Elizabeth that afternoon between Ida Dorothy Selk and himself, conducted by Rev Charles A Campbell.
