Sunday School at 10, morning worship at 11 led by Rev. J E B Curry. Mission band in chapel at 3 with topic on Philippines led by Carolyn Applegate. Story hour by Miss Margaret Perrine and Friday prayer meeting at 7 30 PM.
The School of Missions meets at seven thirty tonight in the Chapel with Mr. Schweitzer lecturing on China and lantern slides. Sunday schedules include the Sunday School at ten, morning worship at eleven, and junior and senior activities in the afternoon and evening. Community service Thursday, Stitch and Chatter Monday, and Women's Missionary Society gathering Friday afternoon. Preparatory Lord’s Supper service is Saturday at Second Presbyterian Church.

Conference nears budget Centenary and benevolences. Woman's Home Missionary Society to meet with Mrs Samuel Perrine on Friday March 8 with committee members Havens and Hoffman.
The Woman's Club meetings planned for next Wednesday, March first, at Mrs. William H. Johnson's residence. Mrs. Jobo B Perrine will lead the program focusing on folk lore.
The Stitch and Chatter Club announces a St Patrick Day Supper on Thursday evening March 16. Save the date for a community gathering with meals and fellowship.
Rev. Thos. Houston known as the Blind Evangelist began evangelistic meetings Sunday at the Dayton Presbyterian Church. Large evening attendance shown by readers of raised letters, singing, and preaching. Many respond to invitation as meetings run nightly until March 8 except Saturdays.
County Detective Ford David travels to Washington to extradite John Burke a former Dayton employee now guard at Walter Reed. Burke is charged with forging John Everett's signature on two checks for sixty dollars each.
Funeral notices recount the Brooklyn building businessman Charles B Mount aged 62 who died February 17 after grippe and pneumonia. Born Monmouth County New Jersey, he moved to Brooklyn, married Ellen Brown in 1887, and left a wife, a son Charles B, a daughter Emily, and two grandchildren. He is survived by three brothers and interred at Cranbury with service in Brooklyn and Cranbury. A separate note covers the Washington Birthday Woman’s Club reception hosted by Mr and Mrs Lemuel Stuita with entertainment and Martha Washington theme.
Mrs Josephine Mather Hughes wife of John Hughes died at her home near Cranbury after illness. She leaves one son William N Hughes. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon February 25 at 2 o clock at her residence.
Freeman Merrill died suddenly Sunday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Griggs where he resided. He was the son of the late Peter Merrill and leaves one sister, Mrs. Abbie Dawson of Portsmouth, N. H. His funeral was held on Thursday with interment at Cranbury.
At the annual Wo man s Missionary societies meeting of Second Presbyterian church officers were elected including President Mrs Ellan Stults and assistants Mrs Wm N Hughes and Mrs Earl C Wilson First Vice President Mrs I D Barclay Second Vice President Mrs Lewis Chamberlin Secretaries Mrs G B Mershon and Mrs F S Davis Treasurer Mrs E C Wilson Secretary of Literature Mrs M A Rue Program Committee Mrs Burroughs Mrs Spaulding and Mrs Lemuel Stulits.

He notes gross income includes wages, salaries, professional income, and gains from property or business, not simply gross receipts. Examples show merchants may have $10,000 receipts with $7,000 cost of goods sold, yielding $3,000 gross income, etc. A lawyer with $6,000 receipts and $4,200 expenses would have $1,800 net income but $6,000 gross income, requiring a return.
