Second Church Women’s groups hold a meeting and elect officers A chicken supper fundraiser for Schultz Memorial is planned with details and ticket price.

Medal Contest by Woman's Christian Temperance Union

The Woman's Christian Temperance Union holds a Medal Contest on Monday February 26 at 7 45 P M in the First Presbyterian chapel. State President Miss Elfreth attends to speak. A social hour follows and a silver offering will be taken.

The V I B meeting was not held last Monday due to the storm and is moved to next Monday evening at the home of Mrs Geo B Mershon. A large attendance is hoped for as there are matters needing attention.

Social Club honors 60th birthday at Wilson home

The Social Club held a Thursday gathering at Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Wilsons home. The occasion celebrated Mr. Wilsons 60th birthday with a handsome bouquet of carnations. Guests included their son Henry Wilson and Henrys classmate Harry Farr from Pridgeton High School.

Perrine Sterling Wedding at Christ Church New Brunswick

The wedding of Harvey Russell Perrine and Edith Magdalene Sterling took place Wednesday at Christ Episcopal Church New Brunswick in the presence of a fashionable gathering. The bride wore a white embroidered gown with train and veil, sister Ardell as matron of honor, bridesmaids in yellow gowns, best man Giles, ushers including Grover Perrine and Raymond Healy. Also noted are social attendees and a Peddie Institute senior prom upcoming with Mueller's orchestra and decorations by Alexander of Trenton. Barab M Leggett died aged 69 in Bordentown, with funeral planned and Cranbury interment, Rev. Allan N. Nettleman to officiate. Stratford Operatic Company to perform February 14 in First Presbyterian chapel under Lulu Hatfield Solomon. program highlights include Mikado scenes, Carmen, Hadrian’s Hymn, and various sacred and secular pieces.

Residents Seek New Post Office at Hightstown

Residents circulate petitions urging a new post office building in Hightstown citing growth from Peddie Institute and planned industrial improvements by local firms and the railroad. The present office serves about 2,500 residents with increasing demand and renovations by Postmaster Addison Robbins Jr. have improved mail delivery.
