Mrs Symmes Bergen Falls At Home

Mrs Symmes H Bergen of Trenton suffered a slight fracture of her hip after a fall on stairs at her residence Monday. She is under nurse and physician care and improving. Also noted was the death of Mrs Edward Mack wife of Edward Mack at Sea Girt with surviving relatives listed and funeral planned. Birthday party for Miss Martha Mershon held in Highland Park with about twenty five guests, decorations, dancing and gifts marking her eighteenth birthday.

Brotherhood Opens Meeting For Armenian Relief Drive

A Sunday December meeting at Cranbury's Brotherhood will feature Rev Bedros K Apelian speaking on aiding Armenian and Syrian Christians. Proceeds go 100 percent to relief, with donations supporting winter shelter and clothing through the Armenian and Syrian Galié committee. The event, advertised as open to all, notes a silent clock clockwork mechanism in a new electric battery clock.

Reading Circle marks twentieth anniversary with Christmas program

The Reading Circle celebrated twenty years at Mrs Geo B Mershon’s home with a Christmas program by a ladies quartet. Mrs Charles F Taylor of Philadelphia spoke, praising women to rise and help uplift society, and recalling the group’s early days and “The Mother” who founded it.

Donation to Rev Doran Fete at Schultz Memorial Church

A large audience gathered Tuesday evening at Schultz Memorial Church to present a donation to Rev and Mrs H F Doran. A church supper, music by the Cranbury orchestra and recitations by Princeton friends followed, with attendance including Professor Smith Henry Beltman Verduin Russell Woltz Edna Compton and Hightstown’s 8 S McCurdy. About two hundred fifteen dollars was raised for the pastor, pleasing the committee and congregation.
