The First Presbyterian and Schultz Memorial M E hold Sunday services led by Rev. J E Quurry and Rev H F Doran with a community service at 11 and 7 30 PM. Special meetings for colored parishioners Sunday Dec 15 at 2 PM. Red Cross Christmas Roll Call runs Dec 16 to 28.
The Reading Circle will meet next Wednesday at the First Presbyterian manse with Mrs Geo B Mershon in a reminiscence program. Mrs Charles E B Taylor will give an address as one of Jab originators and other pleasant features are planned.
The jolly club held its second meeting of the season on Monday evening. Henry Conover was elected president and Mrs Henry Conover vice president. The next meeting will be at the home of Mr and Mrs G A Bennett in Hightstown on Monday evening December 23.
At the annual gathering of the Home and Foreign Missionary Societies of the First Church all former officers were re-elected for the upcoming term. Names listed include foreign president Mrs. Samuel Perrine, vice president Mrs. J. D. Chamberlin, secretary Miss Mary Edsall, treasurer Mrs. A. H. Symmes, secretary of literature Miss R. Ella Chamberlin, and home officers Mrs. Jos. E. Curry, Mrs. S. H. Perrine, secretary Mrs. Matthias Perrine, treasurer Mrs. J. B. Perrine, secretary of literature Mrs. Jane Dey, planner Mrs. LO Hoffman.
The Community Brotherhood plans a gathering at the M B E Church on December 15 at 3 PM with Rev D W Hol linger of Bethany Presbyterian Church Trenton as speaker. A Christmas Sunday open meeting is set for December 22 with Rev Bedron K Apelian speaking on Armenians. a Real Christmas Offering will support the American Committee of Armenian and Syrian.
Town Sunday schools announce their Christmas programs with committee lists for First Church on Christmas Eve, Second Church on Monday evening, and Schultz Memorial M E on Tuesday evening. The events feature old fashioned decor and a play titled What King Christmas Brought, with gifts for children.
Walter H. Havens of Cranbury was elected worthy master of the New Jersey State Grange at Atlantic City succeeding the late Senator George W. Gaunt. Mrs. Mary R. Brown was named secretary and Wilbur Colling treasurer. The group endorsed a dry state and urged reinstatement of a state constabulary law while criticizing reclamation investments and urging anti prohibition amendments.
Mrs Margaret VY Jesson of Trenton and John A Bergen of Dayton were married at noon Tuesday at the Fourth Presbyterian Church Trenton by Rev William M Curry. Attendants Mr William Davidson and Mrs Davidson followed with a reception at the groom’s Dayton home.
The Middlesex County Board of Agriculture meets in New Brunswick New Jersey at the Lincoln Room Free Public Library on Saturday December 14 1918. The program includes reports of officers and agents election of officers and delegates and two evening talks on organizing county agriculture and experiences overseas.
On December 10 at six, Myrtle B Cottrell wed Lyne K Theriault at the Cottrell home. Earlier, December 7, Ethel Mae Cottrell married Clarence Manning Ziegler at their Cranbury house, with vows by Rev. Curry and a reception.

Reports note influenza illness in several locals and the death and burial of Edward Conover of Camden aged 77, with services at First Presbyterian Cranbury and burial in Brainerd cemetery.
