Rev. Thomas Tyack of Hightstown will occupy the pulpit at First Presbyterian in the absence of Pastor Rev. J. E. Curry. He will preach on Sabbath morning on the subject Samson.
Sabbath morning August 18. Rev. Adolps Allen preaches at the church. Miss Bessie Greusser, a popular soprano soloist from Trenton, will sing.
Morning sermon at 10 30 a m titled Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness. Evening sermon at 7 30 p m titled The Cleansing of the Temple.
The annual harvest home of the Jamesburg Presbyterian church will be held on the church lawn on Wednesday August 21. There will be fine music and good food with supper priced at 35 cents.
Goodwin's Band furnishes music at Long Branch for the Grand Carnival on Thursday Friday and Saturday. Special events each day keep things lively with Cranbury's famous band providing the inspiring strains.

The operation followed two weeks earlier and she briefly rallied before a sudden coma led to death. Survived by brother David Holmes and three stepdaughters, funeral set for Poulson Coleman parlors Trenton with interment in Rocky Hill.

Two U S Navy lieutenants were seriously hurt in a car accident Sunday near Walter Havens home. The Brooklyn Navy Yard to Annapolis trip in a government car ended when steering failed and the vehicle rolled into a ditch. Lieutenants D C Bingham and A D Laird, with addresses in West Street and Belmont Avenue Washington DC, were pinned beneath the car and later rushed to St Francis Hospital Trenton for treatment of fractured ribs and contusions. The car was taken to Dennis Garage Hightstown for storage.
