Cranbury Education Board Awards Fireproof Hall Contract
Sealed proposals were received by Cranbury Township Board of Education for adding a fireproof hall and stairway to Public School No. 1 and the contract was awarded to Richard Thomas of Cranbury. The Cranbury Seniors lost to New Egypt 4 to 8 on Saturday. The Cranbury Colored Giants beat Helmetta 12 to 11. Herbert Stahl and Blaine Davison purchased the former Davison and Chamberlin property, turning the grocery and general store into an up to date ice cream soda and confectionery shop with upper floors converted to family apartments. The Harvest Home supper by the Methodist congregation was successful with abundant food and music, drawing a large crowd. weather favorable and receipts exceeded 225 dollars.

The Dayton harvest home raised 885 dollars with over 2000 plates of cream sold and a candy booth near 100 dollars. The fancy booth led with 40 dollars, and refreshments including watermelons and sandwiches added about 100 and 400 servings respectively.
