The church reports no Sunday school next Sunday and a 10.30 am service. Theodore Davison, son of the late Selah Davison, who has been living with Mrs. E. Goa family, disappeared on Wednesday and was reportedly seen at Freebold.
A man named Brown narrowly escaped injury while crossing a railroad track on his bicycle at Prospect Plains on a Wednesday night when a fast freight train passed. He was jarred and frightened but unharmed.
Clifford Conover has disposed of the ice business established by his father James H. Conover to W. E. Grove & Son. They will now supply all town families with their ice needs.
Miss Margaret Applegate joined a house party hosted by Mixa Margaret Mason of Hightstown on Wednesday evening. Also present were Grace Norton Catherine Updike Ella Stults Margaret Chamberlin Virginia Perrine and Julia Grover.

David J. Wilson, a prominent farmer, was hurt Saturday evening after stumbling at his new South Cranbury house. He struck his forehead on a concrete step, suffered a deep gash and arterial bleeding, and required stitches. Rev. J. E. Curry and Dr. Wm. S. Bull provided aid at the office.
The Board of Health met last night to combat a typhoid outbreak. They remain unsure of the cause but urge every resident to take the serum immediately and comply with official requests. They believe continued inquiry may have found the source, and public cooperation is essential to prevent a prolonged epidemic.

A Sunday afternoon lightning strike on the Andrew J. Ely farm on the old York road two miles from Hightstown caused about 5000 in damage. The barn, 36 by 50 feet, stored 100 tons of hay and farming gear, and a 65 foot cow shed were destroyed. Ely, indoors, rushed out to check stock, battled smoke, and narrowly escaped the blaze before raising the alarm.

Middlesex county assessors report North Brunswick Township total ratables of 956 744 up from 869 567 last year, Cranbury 1 197 150 up 1 550, and South Amboy down about 18 000 due to reduced second class railroad property. Total ratables for the county show slight changes with South Amboy at 2 877 566 versus 2 895 228 previously.
The Cranbury Methodist Episcopal Church center in Cranbury recently completed beautifying work under Pastor Rev. W. Wells now in his second year. The rebuilding included a metal ceiling lighted with new electric fixtures and ten memorial windows. The church will reopen next Sunday with services led by Rev. C. W. Heisley and Assemblyman James Hammond with Bishop Thomas Neely preaching. Wesley Grove camp meeting near Yardville concludes Sunday evening under Dr. M. E. Snyder. The Newark Conference and New Jersey Conference pledge support for woman suffrage amid state constitutional amendment votes.
At the Friday picnic August 6 the Young Men of the M E Sunday school held events. Fred Carlson won multiple prizes including 11 second 100 yard dash 15 ft 4 in broad jump 25 ft shot put 275 ft baseball throw and 7 ft polo vault. Others placing included Harold Ogborn Charles Cox John Loehler and Raymond Griggs.
The Public Utility Commission in Trenton has received an application by the Pennsylvania Railroad to sell two acres of swamp land in South Brunswick Township between Plainsboro and Monmouth Junction. The Walker Gordon Dairy Farms vicinity neighbors the tract and plans to buy if approved. The land is to be filled to make it usable.
