Wilton Applegate to Open Law Office in Perth Amboy

Wilton T. Applegate of Prospect Plains, newly admitted to the state bar, will open a law office at the Board of Trade Building 217 Smith Street Perth Amboy on May 1 and will also meet clients at his Prospect Plains home in the evenings. Rev N T Brown D D resigns after fourteen years as Dutch Neck Presbyterian pastor, salary and home use to continue until July 11. The Woman's Club met on Wednesday for an engaging program listing books read by members. Mrs. Curry presented Old Dutch Lived Up To It by Garrett Smith, Mrs. J. D. Harold Appleget Elected President Of Mercer Funeral Directors

Harold Appleget of Coleman Appleget Co was elected president at the Mercer County Funeral Directors Association annual meeting in Trenton on Thursday. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Dr Appleget of Trenton and grandson of the late Alex Cole, Cranbury undertaker. Appleget spent his boyhood in Trenton. Mrs Matilda Pembrook Dies at 82 in Trenton Home

Mrs Matilda Pembrook widow of Charles H Pembrook died Tuesday at her daughter Mrs Brank V Jemison’s home in Trenton aged 82. A longtime Hightstown resident she was among the oldest members of the First Baptist Church there. Survived by three children including Sarah Bottong and Frank Jemison, funeral set for today.

Mrs. W. J. B. Edgar, wife of the Church, died Friday after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Monday by Rev. Joseph E Curry of Cranbury. Interment was in Fernwood cemetery, Jamesburg. She was born in New York City fifty one years ago, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Loudes. Survived by husband, three sons William Marshall Malcom Edgar, and two daughters Misael Lois and Gertrude Edgar.

Franklin R. Dye Dies at 84 in Trenton After Pneumonia

Franklin R. Dye longtime secretary of the State Board of Agriculture and a noted Trenton resident died at his home after a four day illness from pneumonia. He was 84 and had served in church and Sunday school roles, led Jamesburg conventions, and contributed to agriculture. He leaves two daughters Mrs Arthur Parks Smith and Mrs Frank H. Barr and was buried in Cranbury after a Wednesday funeral.
