Death of Charles Applegate Prominent Banker Remembered
Charles Applegate died in a New York hospital. He served as cashier at Cranbury First National Bank for about thirteen years, then at Glassboro First National Bank, later cashiership of National Union Bank of Dover. He retired due to ill health and left a Dover residence. He leaves wife, daughter Emily, and son Milton. Services planned in Hightstown, arrangements by A. S. Coleson & Co.

Easter Observances at Schultz Memorial Church Cranbury
Easter services at Schultz Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church Cranbury drew large crowds. A Sunday School program concluded with a pastor’s address and music by a reinforced choir. Passion week April 9 16 featured tithing for the church centenary with over $50 pledged beyond baseline goals. The Sunday School grew by six or eight new members.

Reverend J. B. Clark Ends His Life in Philadelphia
Rev. James B. Clark, formerly the Dayton Presbyterian pastor, killed himself at his Philadelphia home on South Forty-fifth Street by slashing his throat with a razor Monday night. He was found Tuesday morning beside a mirror with the razor in his hand. He was sixty seven and had recently moved from Dayton to Philadelphia seeking retirement. No reason for the act is known.

Easter Day Services Draw Crowd at Three Town Churches
Easter Sunday crowds worshiped at three town churches with lilies on display at the Second Presbyterian Church. Mrs Harvey Petty sang a solo and the quartet performed an Easter chorus as the pastor preached on it was dead and behold I am alive. A record 487 attended morning worship.
