Labor Day Baseball Opens Two Day Fair at Cranbrook

Cranbrook announces Miss Muriel Reade won the recent Popularity contest with 5175 votes. About twelve hundred names appear on her tickets from Gi Ry we Vite to East Kootenay. Campaign expenses totaled two dollars seventy five cents. J A Young serves as contest manager. Rev M S Blackburn, leaving Knox church, will return Sept 20 to lead services and has been ordained by the Presbytery of New Westminster.

Mr and Mrs Harry White and sons left Monday for the Coast to make their future home. Mrs White travels by train, to be joined at Nelson by her Trail born daughter en route to Vancouver for a short stay. Mr White and the boys drive. On Wednesday last a farewell gathering at the home of Mr and Mrs A A MacKinnon honored the Whites. About fifty attendees represented church officers, sharing an enjoyable time. Mrs C J Little presented Mrs White with silverware. Mr White received a gold headed cane engraved by Knox Presbyterian church Cranbrook BC September 2 1925. The elder and managers address followed.
