The Hon Dr Sutherland, M P Revelstoke, inspected Kimberley and Cranbrook roads with engineer Brady and road superintendent John Taylor. The visit authorized surface paving on two miles of the Kimberley road from Black Bear bridge to Kimberley townsite and Blarchmont Park, plus street openings. A potential diversion of the old road from Cranbrook to Wycliffe was discussed and future announcements promised.
