Lake Windermere notes and railway plans across Columbia
Editor Lugrin travels by motor from Cranbrook to Windermere and surrounding towns. He describes Lake Windermere’s width and irrigable land around 60 000 acres, mentions Invermere Athelmer and Golden steamboat access, and notes the CPR route, Thunder Hill, Canal Flats, and the Kootenay Columbia geology with Leanchoil, Beaverfoot, and the Kootenay source. He forecasts railway expansion and scenic views.
