Kootenay Indian Dies Near Ryan in Creston Area
Wild Louis, 48, a well known Kootenay Indian from Creston, died of heart failure while camping west of Ryan. Constable Ryckman found the body and guided burial at Creston with Father Lambeau. The incident followed a hunting trip with his wife and others. Dr Spencer to speak on "The Biggest Real Estate Deal in the World" at the Baptist church next Sunday.

Annual Meeting of Cranbrook Farmers Institute Held
At the Cranbrook Farmers Institute annual meeting on November 14 in the old gymnasium, president A B Smith led discussions on past work and current conditions. Secretary A H Webb reported 68 members and noted pruning schools, crop competitions, seed samples, and outside meetings. An audit showed small balances. a five dollar prize for dressed poultry and a five dollar patriotic fund were approved. Eight directors were elected: A B Smith, J A Pringle, A H Webb, Maisie, T Doris, W Nenzel, N McClure, B Palmer. Wm Hamilton named Hon President and J Levett Hon Vice President. A fund drive for $50 plus donations is urged by November 26.

Death of Hon William Templeman in Victoria Times
Victoria BC Nov 16 Hon William Templeman former minister of mines and inland revenue and proprietor of the Victoria Times died at 23 yesterday. A leading Liberal figure he helped in elections across Canada. Born September 28 1844 in Packenham Ontario he founded the Almote Gazette then moved to BC in 1884 joining the Times. He served in the senate in 1902 and in 1906 became inland revenue minister and mines minister May 1907. He represented Comox Atlin after 1908 and faced defeat in 1911 on reciprocity.
