Cranbrook and East Kootenay Executive Committee Overview
Cranbrook is presented as the regional rail hub and future manufacturing center of East Kootenay. The piece highlights Cranbrook as CPR divisional point, its growing population, planned 1909 buildings, and diverse industries including lumber, sash and door factories, a steam laundry, and mineral mining prospects. It details climate, agriculture potential, market reach across Alberta and the Prairies, and a large payroll tied to local companies and the CPR.
