Geo A Walton of Winnipeg CP Rail and J E Proctor of Calgary district passenger agent visited Cranbrook yesterday. They arrived on the Kootenay Central from Golden and were welcomed by C S Maharg. Walton praised Windermere valley as a premier tourist region and predicted a thriving trade once the Windermere Banff road is finished. The officials departed east on the Wednesday afternoon train.

Methodist Sunday School Hosts Annual Picnic at Picnic Lake
The Methodist Sunday School held its annual picnic yesterday afternoon at Picnic Lake on the Wycliffe road. About 160 children and friends arrived in 18 autos to enjoy swimming, racing events, hill jumps, and games with tents and a stove setup, while prizes were awarded and thanks given to volunteers who provided transport.

Pilot Lieut Hall completes Vancouver to Penticton flight
Last spring plans floated for a coast to Lethbridge air journey via Penticton Nelson and Cranbrook. Lieut Hall, who visited Penticton in May, successfully flew the first leg from Vancouver to Penticton in a Curtiss biplane, taking three hours and forty five minutes, the farthest inland reach by that route in British Columbia.
