New Year Comes In With Fourthteenth Annual Ball
The Cranbrook New Year ball 1920 marked the return of the Fourteenth Annual joint ball of Buckley Lodge 685 and Queen Alexandria Lodge 324 after wartime suspension. The Auditorium overflowed with attendees from Crows Nest to Kingsgate as committees staged festive decor with red green and white colors and C. P. R. flags. A turkey supper fed the crowd, led by Mrs P Dallas and her team, while the seven piece orchestra played to enthusiastic encores.

The Ladies Auxiliary to the Great War Veterans' Association organized a benefit whist drive and dance for Mrs Porter, a fire victim and widow of a veteran. About 300 tickets were sold as 24 tables played, with Mrs A E Jones and Mr Kem ball winning ladies and gentlemen prizes. A large crowd danced until two o'clock to a four piece orchestra. Frank Passmore managed the floor, Charlie Price ran the whist drive. Proceeds supported the widow and her children, highlighting ongoing local charity efforts.

United Prayer Services for Missionary Societies Across Canada
Friday January Sth marks a national United Prayer Services day for Woman's Missionary Societies. Cranbrook Considers Expanding Incorporation Limits
