Auto Fatality Near Jaffray Claims Lumberman Otto Wisner
Otto Wisner a Wardner lumber man is killed in an auto smash-up near Jaffray early Monday morning. He rode with Robert Findlay and Louis Dupont who left Cranbrook Sunday night for Jaffray. The car rolled over an embankment after steering gear failed on the steep hill into Jaffray. Wisner will be buried Friday afternoon at Knox Presbyterian Church Cranbrook.

Cottage Fire Destroys South Ward Home
A small cottage in the south ward outside the city units burned this morning. Occupied by Morgan John and owned by George Donaldson now living in Ontario. Fire brigade and hose wagon responded but delayed access to extra hose allowed the blaze to gain headway. contents were saved.

Death Claims Mrs Crosby in Sudden Friday Tragedy
Mrs Annie Crosby, 35, wife of W J Crosby of Wycliffe, died Friday evening of heart failure. She appeared well after supper as neighbors visited, was found dead near the kitchen door less than 16 minutes after they left. She leaves two sons aged ten and eight, and a bereaved husband. Funeral Tuesday at Christ Church Cranbrook, with burial at the grave. Local attendance large from Wycliffe and Cranbrook.
