Danville couple Cleve Ward and May Derr, ages 15 and 17, eloped to Covington for a license but were arrested in Veedersburg with May’s father and Cleve’s father. The group faces a justice court action as townsfolk await May’s sister and father’s arrival from Danville. A liveryman’s horse and buggy were taken in the abortive scheme.
A narrow escape at the Stave factory when F. Woodruff slipped while placing a log on the carrier. The crowbar fell onto the saw but he saved himself by grabbing the carrier, suffering minor damage.

Complaint No 9089 in Fountain County Indiana states Edward M. Rowands sues Elizabeth Rowands for divorce. Defendant non resident must appear January 1 192, to answer or demur. court at Covington to proceed in her absence. Clerk H G Schlosser confirms. Attorney C P Lewis listed.
