The Indiana Grand Encampment in Indianapolis closed after a Tuesday session with installation of new officers. About 800 members attended. J. D. Henderson of South Bend will be the next grand patriarch. Membership rose to 12,935, a gain of 642 in one year, though many were dropped for nonpayment of dues. The relief and charity fund over 54 years totals $474,588.98.
From Coopersville Michigan comes a claim of a pleasant tasting liquid that before retiring cures a bad cough and ensures a good night's rest. Last Monday a party of young boys returning from a Perrysville hunting expedi tion saw 16 year old Wm Liggitt drill them as an imaginary military company. A boy in front fired accidentally injuring Liggitt's right leg. He was taken to St. Elizabeth's hospital at Danville.

Miss Sallie Baily wed Crosley of Binghamton New York at Miton Wright’s country home four miles southwest of town on Perrysville road. A large gathering attended the ceremony and the couple will reside in Binghamton New York. The Republican joins friends in wishing them happiness and prosperity.
The People's Bargain Store of Danville bought the entire Boosenbark stock of boots and shoes from Attica at 55 cents on the dollar. The stock, formerly M. L. Wilson shoes, was shipped to Danville and placed on sale at cost prices, offering customers exceptional bargains in boots and shoes.

The body of Joseph D Keith executed for the Nora Kiefer murder was sent from the state prison and received by a brother and cousin in Boonville. Burial took place at Barnett burial ground near the West Union church with Rev John Heldt officiating. Mrs Keith and their son attended, the widow declining further comment as onlookers discussed the tragedy afterward.

At 2 30 Tuesday morning two women from Cayuga were taken from a C E railway passenger engine headed for Danville. They were insufficiently clothed and suffered from the cold. They said they were driven out of Cayuga by the marshal and had no time to gather their belongings.
