The Red Cross Seal program increases awareness and funds for tuberculosis in Indiana. Since 1908 seals sold at Christmas have grown from 4,500 to over 12,800 last year, with expected Indiana sales reaching 30,000 to 35,000 this season.

Healer Griffith is requested to return to Danville Illinois to provide treatment at the Illinois Hotel from December 29 1913 to January 8 1914.
A 1912 testimonial from C W Morris of Prescott Arkansas credits Dr Kilmer Swamp Root with curing kidney and bladder troubles after years of illness His note says he could work again after using five to six bottles and thanks the product as a kidney medicine that restored his health The document includes notary O B Gordon and pharmacist Adam Guthrie Jr confirming prior purchases of Swamp Root.
A letter to Dr Kilmer Co Binghamton NY promotes a sample size bottle of Swamp Root and a booklet about kidneys. It urges sending ten cents and mentions regular 50 cent and one dollar bottles sold at drug stores as advertised in Covington Weekly Republican.
A weekly list of real estate transfers filed in Fountain County shows multiple deeds. Transactions include Julia C Board and husband to Lizzie R Morehouse for 86 acres in Van Buren at 3500 dollars and Hillsboro Bank to Albert J Gossett for lots 343 and 344 in Veedersburg at 1100 dollars.

The Fountain County Board of Commissioners invites sealed proposals for sectional steel filing cases to be installed in the County Clerk's Office at the Covington Courthouse. Bids must include a bond equal to the bid amount and meet all plans and specifications on file with the County Auditor. The county reserves the right to reject any or all bids. December 12 1913.
