The Pocahontas lodge will open its Fourth Annual Fair on May 5 for a three day run. A high class entertainment is promised with a clever program and on Saturday night May 7 a four act drama titled A Noble Outcast will be presented by top local talent.
As the census enumeration ends, officials call for extra effort to count everyone. The notice stresses the sample shows changes since 1900 and urges reporting any missing person to James Lewis or James Parrott to ensure no one who is entitled to be counted is overlooked.
Frank Crane a Stone Bluff painter and paper hanger left with Bruce Hoskinson to pay taxes and was last seen in Veedersburg. His wife Mrs Cr an e says he did not desert but fears an accident or robbery of his $500 cash. Police in Danville and contacts in Urbana seek clues as to his fate.
Three Attica men Rolla Davenport Will Romine and John Dove were drunk in Williamsport Sunday. Marshal Russell was struck unconscious with a rock during an attempted arrest. Dove paid a fine of 29.10 and Davenport Romine fled with revolvers until escape. Russell recovered hours later and rumors spread of Davenport and Romine fleeing Attica after a friend reported Russell death.

Clyde E Layton headed by, forms a new lighting company after winning a 20 year franchise bid in Seymour Indiana. A $60000 plant will be installed and work starts soon with substantial stock already sold. Layton and wife move from Kokomo and he is a Purdue electric graduate from 1904.

Frey with Cora A. Southam and Cora E. Leighty with Alta B. Parker. A crowd also notes many people drove to see the circus yesterday.
Edward Daniels, a splendid young attorney and stalwart Republican, is presented for the Ninth District congressional nomination. He previously served as deputy prosecuting attorney and was elected prosecuting attorney of Tipton and Howard counties in 1904, with a long practice and a high standing in Tipton's bar.
Mgr Daniels, born in La Fayette Indiana and long time Tipton resident, battled hardships to graduate with honors from Valparaiso University Law. He worked unpaid at T M Butler’s office, rose in politics, helped found Ellis organization, and guided Elks Lodge to a 20000 dollar home. His integrity and study ethic have earned broad support for a congressional bid.

Thirteen students received diplomas at last Friday's commencement exercises. Pros F J McConnell of De Pauw University gave a thoughtful address on the line of thought guiding educated men. Clifford Dice spoke on personal responsibility in a Democracy and rising commodity prices. The Girls Glee Club provided music. The program was concise and well received despite stormy weather. The class Day exercises featured jokes and a class prophecy, with a life size bust of Lincoln donated as a memorial to the school.
