Replacement shear barn eyed after Spooner fire loss
Bids will open Sept 23 for a new replacement sheep barn at the Spooner Experimental Station funded by an insurance settlement. The 50 by 200 plus foot pole barn will include 12 foot sidewalls, space for up to 200 sheep in multiple groups, an office, restrooms, and six overhead doors. The project aims for completion by the January shearing school, with an estimated cost of 45 000 to 50 000 dollars.
